A new day a new haiku

Molten light pours out The hillside is cast in gold It lives on in me
Let ideas ferment Turn and see what’s underneath We’re ruminatimg
Someday we will rise Into the darkening sky Take a different guise
Long summer sunsets Slowly burnt into memory These are happy scars
Over the next hill Is a better brighter day Always out of reach
Don’t let the thought of The sunsets you miss, stop you Enjoying the rest
Don’t over think it Don’t compare, don’t analyse Just be your best self
Glowing in low sun We reach but we can’t touch it Bathed in golden warmth
Seeds become barley Barley will become straw bales Bales become buildings
As we turn away From the ever burning sun His light is fractured
The sun never sets We just turn our backs on it When the day is done
There’s hope in these clouds Stop holding out for the sun The future is now
