A new day a new haiku

The sun sings as it Sinks slow in the silver sky Seducing songbirds
Follow fading clouds To escape greater darkness Falling into me
Take a long hard walk Mix with friends in gold sunlight You have a memory
In the failing light Underneath scattered photons Life is being lived
My molten heart flows Fills gaps and finds it’s level Begin to belong
When the earth is grey Summer days have passed away The sun lights the way
Darkness creeps in Turning my thoughts against me Driving light away
The last flash of light Burning brilliantly bright Smeared across the sky
Catch the last sun drops Squozen from November skies Keep them safe and dry
Small hands and short arms Stretching out towards the sun Don’t let them pass by
Clouds cover my eyes Hide from another surprise Until the sunrise
If all the stars shone As bright as the sun, we would Never see the moon
