A new day a new haiku
Wherever you are
Look up at the stars and sun
Ever present hope
How long will it take
For my bones to break and turn
From dust into light?
When I’m out of doors
Even in damp drizzly rain
I can taste freedom
We can see further
From someone else’s viewpoint
Don’t just stay inside
From inside this cloud
One step forwards, two steps back
Nothing to forget
A fleeting moment
Captured and frozen in time
By the photo trap
Our brave hearts alight
As we descend to darkness
These days were our days
In a horse drawn cart
We move on, ever westward
A journey of peace
Though sometimes he’s lost
Shrouded in nimbostratus
The sun always sets
Musky thistledown
Tumbles through rusty tangles
To escape Goldfinch
Storm flavoured sunset
Spread thickly on the long grass
I am not enough
My many mistakes
Replayed, repeated, now
Gather dusky dust
