A new day a new haiku
It’s in every day
That ambition is realised
The future is now
What is the hurry?
Stop and enjoy the sunset
There aren’t that many
Warm rain won’t drive us
Away. What if everyone
Is imaginary?
What if we just stopped
And basked in breathless beauty
Would the world just end?
Behind these photos
Lies the dirty world of truth
We are parasites
As I try to read
The story of the landscape
I look for my place
Another day dies
The restless sky opens up
Now I am alive
Out of the chaos
Across the blackness of space
And into the light
Sunrise and sunset
Simple things for simple minds
Summer never ends
Cow parsley fractals
Fork and divide and forget
Into the night sky
A landscape unchanged
A collective memory
Centuries roll by
A dusky veil hangs
Clouding over my own heart
Hidden from myself
