A new day a new haiku
Life still carries on
In spite of all our failings
So choose to be kind
A place to call home
Sun sets through open windows
Where wild roses grow
Once I went outside
Bathed in warm sunlight, but now
We are stuck at home
Let go of the day
Melting, fading, drift away
Colours turn to grey
Beneath the red glow
Do we make our own choices
Or do they make us?
Each day is the same
But the sunsets always change
Still treading water
A crack in the sky
Letting fears out and light in
Carry me away
Every day I walk
In Sisyphus’ footsteps
I walk every day
I reach for the sun
But I always fall far short
Should I keep trying?
I stop to wonder
How does time fly by so fast?
Then we’re off again!
Green bramble stems shoot
As the evening comes alive
Bathed in warm sunlight
The sunset pulled us
Out of our shell and back to
This mystical dell
