A new day a new haiku
Reckless abandon
Into the sunset she runs
The adventurer
The road ahead looks
The same as the path behind
When you reach the end
You cannot pause life
Or wait for all the answers
There’s no solution
The slow silent creep
In wiry tendrils entwined
Bramblers always win
Hazy halos hang
Between bare brackish branches
Murky mists make myths
And what will remain
Of the things we do and say
In a thousand years?
Some days slowly slide
Into dreams from somewhere else
Gently slip away
Suffocating fug
Creeping between chinks and cracks
I seal myself in
Lonely winding lanes
Lead my mind away from pain
I don’t want to face
Sun soaked sycamoreSoftly sharing secrets seenSimply standing still
Another day gone
Slipping through my fat fingers
Evening sun though leaves
If I could be half
Of what you want me to be
I’d be twice myself
