A new day a new haiku
One thousand spirits
Moving through the Irish sea
We hold on to peace
Why do we build walls
To keep us shut away from
Everything we love?
Here we loom above
Raging roaring rolling waves
Our feet slip away
Open up the box
Let the wild bramblers roam free
Embrace the chaos
Exploring edges
Here all life diversifies
Where does the land end?
Salty sea spray stings
Take away these broken things
Spread my open wings
The voice in your head
Knows something that you don’t yet
Listen carefully
After the rainfall
Has stripped all the branches bare
Sunshine mocking me
Secrets hide inside
Outside resides wide eyed lies
I’d tried to turn tides
Clear rays of nothing
Through translucent chlorophyll
Trapped in this moment
Autumn years take hold
My crown turns from green to gold
My days have been sold
In these reflections
A city of burning eyes
Now I realise
Under the cities
The dirt awaits the day her
Time will come again
When the old dam breaks
When ancient clay bricks crumble
Wash us all away
As the summer leaves
Break down into next year’s soil
We feed on decay
A shattered reply
Thus scattered we stagger home
A stammered goodbye
Now we drift apart
Farewell ye wayward brethren
I shan’t forget thee
I let my days go
And we all went up in smoke
With nothing to show
Look out the window
There are so many people
I am only one
Am I a robot?
Where does the machine finish
And the human start?
Invisible webs
Creep under the loamy ground
Do forests argue?
Glowing in the night
Growing to the source of light
Going to take flight
In the space between
Heavy headed grasses bend
We are still alive
No fire without smoke
There’s no vision without hope
No knots without rope
