Soft leaves fade and blur
Turning spring sunshine to dirt
Smeared across the road

A new day a new haiku

Soft leaves fade and blur
Turning spring sunshine to dirt
Smeared across the road

We align boxes
In orderly rank and file
The dragons fight back

On a distant beach
Hauled up the sandy shore
My white driftwood bones

Let the rain drops fall
Let the dark storm clouds thunder
Let the wild wind howl

Stack, rack, pile and pack
Teeter totter tumble down
Winter wood we found
