A new day a new haiku

Old bridges prevai Road over creek over rail A tangle of trails
Lights lead us onward Drawing us toward their gaze A steady decay
Even reinforced Castles of blue glass and steel Can’t provide a nest
Between woodwind notes Blossom leaves weave twist and float Riding river boats
When concrete covers The surface of the whole world What will we wonder?
Light and water skate Saturate this cityscape With sodium shades
Seeping from deep cracks Steam and brimstone boil below Lift me from what’s mine
If I snap myself Among cherry blossom mist Do I shine brighter?
Complex indigo Turns mindless in the day glow Unfixed colours run
Dusty trail blazers Gather in every corner Ceremony stands
When blossom has blooomed These streets will be left empty No one wants your fruit
Rare ripples reflect A secret silent shoreline All we see is waves
