A new day a new haiku
Rolling strolling clouds
Ever changing never gone
Ideas never die
Come and sit awhile
You breathe in what I breathe out
Beneath the oak tree
Blossom in the rain
Shine out of the darkness and
Make me live again
The May has been out
I have cast my winter clout
Yet no fear of drought
Cobblestone walkways
Worn smooth by thousands of feet
Am I following?
When the darkness falls
Should we float off gently or
Go out with a bang
Traverse the canyon
Travail brings it’s own reward
Travel mountain peaks
Clamber through the hedge
Living on the woodland edge
Spread our wings and fledge
In the partial shade
Birds nest, deer rest and then graze
Quiet forest glade
Long light shining through
Captivating sunset hues
Everything is new
Trace the labyrinth
And weave through the lighting bugs
The fayre comes alive
At the sun’s zenith
Shelter in your spreading shade
How am I growing?
All the stars align
And all the puzzle pieces
Fall into their place
The heat haze rises
We wander, wilt and wither
Memories meander
In the long cool shade
We rest our weary limbs and
In the shadows bathe
Swallows dive and swoop
Underneath the mushroom shade
The circle returns
Soak in springtime sun
Fill your ears with sweet sugar
Songs of joy abound
The sun sings as it
Sinks slow in the silver sky
Seducing songbirds
Blackthorn blossom bursts
Beyond billowing boundaries
Breeding bumblebees
I slipped in wet grass
Sliding down soggy hillsides
Landing with a splat
Standing on strong roots
Reaching up towards the sun
Dancing in the breeze
Follow the water
Running to the deep blue sea
Inevitably
Purple birch buds shine
Light on a distant mountain
Just a bit further
Early evening glow
Let the sunlight shine through you
Where does it end up?
