A new day a new haiku

Each tree looks the same Every bird sings the same song ‘Til you learn their ways
Muted blossom shades Bring a hesitant hope to These gloomy spring days
Bushes and branches Consumed by flaming flowers Burning bold and bright
Against concrete walls These lives of contradiction Blossom then wither
Slow down restless brain Stop looking for yesterday Forget tomorrow
Blossom turn to mould Turns to worm food, turns to dust I know its over
Whitewashed with blossom Bursting from coal black branches Time for a spring clean
Black thorny blossom Breaks dark spidery hedgerows Into foamy spray
Is this just a dream? Am I awake or asleep? Falling into light
Apertures agape Beside the blackthorn blossom Creatures cast their clouts
