A new day a new haiku

Before the blossom blooms It’s pecked, picked, packed and pickled In formaldehyde
Blossom in the rain Shine out of the darkness and Make me live again
Somehow we survive The time is now, we are here And we are alive
Curled up in new buds The autumn crop of apples Already forming
Lost in heady scent I forgot where I had come from And from where I went
Blink and it appears Open up in the warm sun At last spring is here
In a flush of white Following the flower trail To where I came from
Blossom breathes new hope Into my thorny black mood Another spring comes
The pendulum swings Every growing thing explodes We race summerwards
For the blackthorn buds To banish ghosts and goblins With me shillelagh
A shaft of sunlight In this most murky of months Might just see me through
A curious shrub Bursting blossoms in winter And stinks when broken
