A new day a new haiku
In summer showers
We wash away our failures
Look with hopeful eyes
Curled up in the hedge
Hiding from the wind and rain
Tramping new terrain
Inhale the drenched air
Soaking up the welcome rain
Standing in the dirt
In restless grassland
Ripples graze a hazy grace
And stills racing hearts
Between thunderstorms
Strong meadow grasses rise up
A burning fever
There’s not enough time
To clamber up every tree
But how can I choose?
Golden hay crackles
As the sun scorches each blade
Tomorrow we bale
