A new day a new haiku

Using distant spires We navigate these wild fields Here I lose myself
To live a wild life We must provide our own needs And consume much less
Last year’s leftovers Jumbled up in the hedgerow Let your wild hair go
Regimented rows Standing up to attention Longing to be wild
Sunny showers smite The undulating landscape Warm wind whips wild hair
On the horizon Lie visions of mountain peaks And wild fire smoke
You can break a horse And mow a meadow, but you Can’t tame this wild heart
Prickly teasels Clinging to our ankles like Stickly limpets
