A new day a new haiku

From the other side I saw my life in reverse Slowly unravel
Turn it upside down Can you see yourself better? Has anything changed?
Crane flies skip across Glossy surface tension and Hazy lake mistakes
How soon I forget To look beyond my own stance So hopelessly flawed
To be a mirror Or just a dim reflection Would be so easy
Wanderers don’t rest Adventurers leave the nest An unending quest
If we are children We are only reflections Of somebody else
Standing in the shade What are we trying to save? Will anything change?
Dawn divides darkness Am I the lies underneath Or the breaking sky?
Once I was alive Now we live in photographs Vicariously
World turned upside down After the hurricane ends We’ll be in blue skies
Every day we live With someone else’s choices Help out future you
