A new day a new haiku

Some doors don’t open Some ways lead only back home Some days rain won’t end
Spitting smir snivel Drenched in a deluge drizzle Plothering mizzle
On the island’s brink Fog and mist and rain roll in Over the summit
We huddle inside Watching rain on the window Another storm brews
Downy clouds lie low Along this murky green glen The rain has set in
Rain makes a soft spray Against a background of grey Another wet day
We return to earth The same rain is back again Remember sunshine
Does the rain chase you? Or are you following it? Follow the sunshine
Turning leaves cling on Yet the sun has slipped away And rain has set in
The fine salty spray I wait here while you slumber Between cloud and sea
