A new day a new haiku
Everything turns grey
All the colour drains away
Falling failing fade
When two worlds collide
Curious questions arise
Seen through different eyes
How do tiny seeds
Make the sunlight taste so sweet?
Simple soil magic
The road to success
Is paved with failure. So is
The road to failure
Under the rafters
Up and up and up we go
Hanging from the eaves
Shade, safety, sanctum
Shelter, shield, security
We all need a roof
Which way should we go?
There are no paths on water
Every way leads home
With each step we get
A bit closer to the end
Enjoy the journey
Slide into black mud
Let last years leaves cover us
In empty darkness
Dying embers fall
And settle down like ash leaves
A dusty grey stain
Some tunes are too trite
And some colours are too bright
Some words are to write
What strange voices move
Between cloud and rocky ground?
Dull yet beautiful
On the horizon
Storm grey clouds rolling closer
This road sees me through
Seeds will fly away
They will go the mountains
And flow to the sea
Wind sweeps barren earth
Bare, black boulders break below
A desolate road
Twisted up in knots
While the wet wood slowly rots
Stalking like a fox
The pump has run dry
Choked with rust and obsolete
Waiting to be gone
Build bigger bridges
Because bigger is better
Bury head beneath
I’ll eat you alive
Devour your selfish pride
And crush your insides
With plenty of time
Patience and perseverance
You can move mountains
September squalls shake
Turning leaves and ripe berries
As they tumble down
Rolling in off the fields
Rain clouds spatter dust to mud
Winter bog begins
Every day we climb
A little higher, further
Make sure to look down
Out of the black swamp
Alder branches twist and creep
Into heart shaped cracks
