A new day a new haiku

But what is the point Of poisonous mushroom Corrupting the world
Close your tired eyes Curl up in a bed of moss Sleep until spring
I’ve got my wires crossed Tangled in the deep dark ground Feeding on decay
Decomposition Changing death into new life And from life comes hope
Can I build this wall Faster than it tumbles down? Shifting sandcastles
While we were rushing We missed the plot twists and turns Let’s take the slow ways
Mushrooms cast a spell But the real magic happens Underneath the ground
Here I sought shelter Blissfully ignorant of Poison in your wings
Sun shines straight through us But in the silver moonlight Silent wings shimmer
Running everywhere Take me somewhere, anywhere Going nowhere fast
Down in dark damp dirt The mycorrhizae network A secret magic
Creepily we crawl Betwixt decaying leaf mould Our shells on our backs
