A new day a new haiku

Moss bedraggled limbs Drag me deeper down to dirt Can I rise again?
Moss creeps slow yet sure Engulfing shaded shadows With scraggy green beard
Only an old stone Shrouded in years of tired moss Going nowhere now
Between capped mineshafts We crept down the eerie dale Our captors pursue
Where there is no sound Beneath the cold leafy ground That’s where I’ll be found
