A new day a new haiku
What hides behind mist?
Who lurks in the looming copse?
Why is the sun cold?
Following dark trees
On an unknowable road
Take another step
Running though the clouds
The hill shrouded in mystery
I go on alone
Dewy mist rises
Saturated earth exhales
Soft inspiration
On the island’s brink
Fog and mist and rain roll in
Over the summit
Clouds followed me home
They lay low in the meadow
Everywhere I go
Between day and night
The light of another world
Carries us beyond
The mystery of dawn
A low haze slowly growing
Is this just a dream?
Hazy halos hang
Between bare brackish branches
Murky mists make myths
Suffocating fug
Creeping between chinks and cracks
I seal myself in
We can see behind
But we cannot see ahead
Into the unknown
Grey mist rising as
Grey sun shimmers silver ice
Cloud my foggy mind
Midwinter mist still
Rising from the spreading mud
We don’t need these things
A foggy cold fret
Bitten by this fierce snell wind
My fair jeelit feet
Only bright stars fade
Only the lost can be found
Only triers fail
Downy clouds lie low
Along this murky green glen
The rain has set in
As light mist rises
From the freshly fallen rain
Float away downstream
Soft blue horizon
Cover us in teal layers
We know where we are
Gloomy moody mist
Bearing down in soft ash clouds
As away we drift
