A new day a new haiku

Tucked in to the hills Grasses shimmer and ripple Betraying the wind
Lost in the meadow Quivering with the seed heads What if this was home?
A million stems Each the same, all different Evenly diverse
If I stay ’til dawn In the long meadows of June Will I be reborn?
Some days never end The edge of the sky shines through Slowly shadows fade
Now in my memory I go back to the meadow Everything I need
Meadows turning brown We drink in every detail The year’s pinnacle
In restless grassland Ripples graze a hazy grace And stills racing hearts
Through silver meadows With moths and bats and spiders Dance in the moonlight
Good morning meadow The dew is wet, the sun shines Let’s make hay today
As I try to read The story of the landscape I look for my place
Skip though the meadow Carefree frolicking scamper Chasing butterflies
