A new day a new haiku

Day breaks silent ice Grey lake melting violet twice Making a lattice
Questions surround me Piling in from every side And I still don’t know
You have to move fast If you don’t want to fall through Skimming the surface
Paddles pick their way Fighting through frosted ice sheets Frozen fingers burn
Ice crystals fracture Clear light into scarlet waves Everything is still
Drain all my regrets Into this icy water Will I drown or freeze?
A foggy cold fret Bitten by this fierce snell wind My fair jeelit feet
