A new day a new haiku

Where does the time go? Slipping through my sore fingers It trundles onwards
Through the blackest night Turn our backs on the darkness Let the fire burn bright
Can you catch a flame? Or capture it in a cage? Try not to trap time
And nevertheless All this meaningless nonsense Will go up in flames
These days never end We will relive them again A recurring dream
In the black forest In your never ending eyes Darker than the night
Just heap it all up Set a match to the tinder And watch the sparks fly
In the dark I fall From this cave I never call To the woods I crawl
And I will burn up Down to the ground, to the dust From the inside out
Starry sparks arise Flaming furnace fire flies At the day’s last sigh
Strike a single match Set it gently on a branch Watch the paper catch
On the horizon Lie visions of mountain peaks And wild fire smoke
