A new day a new haiku

Skim across the lake Soft sounds ripple all around Perpetual dawn
Hope dawns unbidden With a blue moon exigent So I try again
Dawn divides darkness Am I the lies underneath Or the breaking sky?
We’re at the dawn of Another beautiful day Yet sadness creeps in
The sun is calling Another day is dawning The hope of morning
Tramp in damp trainers Through the dew drenched wilderness Dawn expeditions
A few ragged fields All that remains of the past There’s no going back
The wise owl awakes Silently she leaves her roost Another day fades
