Daisy chains shimmer As you pad down the dirt track Burnished locks shiver
Soaking up the rain Drinking in the damp drizzle Bursting with new life
There’s no direct road Goals create disappointment Take the long way home
Another day ends One more petal slips away Winter’s on the way
Days dripping downward Wander in a daze of sound Daisies droop groundward
This flower stands still Between the hedge and meadow We hurry between
